Bullas gets the nineteenth-century capitular acts digitized thanks to the Crimson Project (07/06/2018)

The Community has digitized 11,200 images of historical documents from the Region of Murcia within the Crimson Project promoted by the Integra Foundation and the Ministry of Tourism and Culture.

It is, above all, the capitular acts of four municipalities, among which is the City of Bullas, as well as numerous copies of newspapers, and all documents are dated between 1800 and 1933.

Yesterday, the Councilor for Education and Culture, Antoni José Espín, along with the librarian, Juana Dolores Jiménez, were in the General Archive of the Region and received from the General Director of Information Technology, Heritage and Telecommunications, Juanjo Almela, and the Director General of Cultural Property, Juan Antonio Lorca, the digital copies of the documents scanned during the past year.

In the case of Bullas, it was about the Chapter Acts of the 19th century.

The Crimson Project was launched 13 years ago and its website (www.regmurcia.com/carmesi) has become the authentic portal of the municipal archives of the Region of Murcia and of all those individuals and institutions with documentary heritage that they lend their documentary funds in a disinterested way so that they can be shared by everyone in the network.

Since 2005, in total, thanks to this initiative, more than one million images of historical documents from the period between the fourteenth and twentieth centuries have been digitized.

"Thanks to this Project, the documentary heritage that collects the most relevant events in the local life of Bullas is preserved," says Edil Antonio José Espín, noting that documents are available to researchers and all citizens through the Internet.
