Concha Cuetos will be the new Master of Bullas Wine (08/08/2018)

The City of Bullas, together with the Bullas Wine Route Association and the Regulatory Council of the Denomination of Protected Origin of Bullas Wines, have decided that Concha Cuetos will be responsible for one year of promoting and disseminating Bullas' wine culture .

It will be on the night of September 22, Saturday, when the Wine Museum will host the act to invest the actress popularly known for her role as apothecary Lourdes Cano in 'Farmacia de Guardia'.

The event is framed in the Bullas Wine Festival that takes place from September 21 to 30, preamble of the Patron Saint Festivities in honor of the Virgen del Rosario.

Concha Cuetos, in addition to her career as an actress, was also for a time vice-president of the Association of Women Friends of Wine (Amavi), a non-profit entity formed by a group of women with relevance in various fields who came together to highlight and value the quality wine

Mayor Maria Dolores Muñoz justifies the election by saying that "Concha Cuetos is a woman who knows the world of wine and who shows passion in everything she does, which is why we believe she is the perfect ambassador of our wines."

In addition, Cuetos already has experience as an ambassador for the Ribeiro and Huelva Denomination of Origin wines.

"As of September, it will be his turn to defend wines under the Denomination of Origin of Bullas," says the first Edil.

About her professional career as an actress

His career is very broad, with works as well known as his roles in Estudio 1 or Verano Azul (1981), where he played Desi's mother.

Nevertheless, its greater popularity would arrive to him in 1986 with the successful series Tristeza de Amor, next to Alfredo Landa.

And, above all, from 1991 when Antonio Mercero attributed the leading role of the series Farmacia de guardia, broadcast on Antena 3 for four years in which he played the famous apothecary Lourdes Cano.

On the big screen, Cuetos has made roles in films such as Canción de Juventud (1962), Los cazadores (1974), Los Pájaros de Baden-Baden (1975) by Mario Camus and Largo Retorno (1975) by Pedro Lazaga.

He has also worked extensively in theater, in works such as Llama a un inspector (2007) or Don Juan Tenorio (2008).

In 2011 he premiered in the María Guerrero the play 'I, the heir', a comedy with dramatic overtones written by the Italian playwright Eduardo De Filippo and in which he performs with Ernesto Alterio, José Manuel Seda and Yoima Valdés, among others.

Among its recognitions are the Silver Frame for Best Television Actress, the Union of Actors as Best Television Protagonist, the TP of Gold as Best Actress and the Honor Award of the European Telefilms Festival Zoom Igualada (2008 ).
