The Government Delegate in Murcia visits the Child Care Center (04/12/2018)

Yesterday, after chairing the Local Security Board, the Government Delegate in the Region of Murcia, Diego Conesa, accompanied by the Mayor of Bullas, María Dolores Muñoz, the Councilor for Education, Antonio José Espín, as well as other councilors of the Team of Government, visited the facilities of the Child Care Center (CAI) to be interested in the current situation of the services offered.

In the center, Diego Conesa after talking with educators recalled that from the Socialist Party in the Region of Murcia has been presented at the Regional Assembly a bill "that enshrines the universal right to education from 0 to 3 years in the Region of Murcia".

A law that seeks to double the number of places in nursery schools in the next four years, from 9,000 to 20,000 places, and reach 40% enrollment in the period of 0 to 3 years.

In the case of Bullas, CAI currently has about 80 students enrolled, with a total of 120 places.

Conesa stressed that the rate of enrollment in the Autonomous Community of Murcia of students under 3 years is around 18%, "being the lowest in the State" and "well below the average (37%), so "a real bet is necessary to put in place measures that encourage a greater implementation of the first cycle of early childhood education in the Region".

For its part, both the first Edil and the Councilor of Education spoke with the Delegate about the need to create a school cafeteria in the municipality, which to date lacks it and it is the CAI itself that offers this service for children of others bullas educational centers.
