The Government Delegate in Murcia visits Bullas (05/07/2019)

Francisco Jiménez, Delegate of the Government in the Region of Murcia, this morning held a working meeting with the Mayor of Bullas, María Dolores Muñoz, in which matters of interest to the municipality have been addressed.

Upon his arrival he was received by the Local Police and Civil Guard sergeants, Francisco Espín and José Antonio Boluda, respectively.

At the meeting, in which Councilors Chari Martínez and Alfonso Manuel Guirado have also been present, the first councilor has transferred to the Delegate that Bullas should be part of the Rural Employment Promotion Program, the so-called local employment councils, which through subsidies they would allow the hiring of workers for the execution of projects of general and social interest.

"Bullas is not attached to the regional employment council and we believe that it would be very positive for the municipality to have these grants," explains Muñoz.

Another issue that has been discussed is the recovery of the Venus a Bullas.

It is an archaeological piece discovered in the Los Cantos site that is currently in the National Archaeological Museum of Madrid and the Consistory wants to recover so that it can be exhibited in the local Wine Museum.

"We are aware that for the piece to be in Bullas, the expenses of its transfer must be paid, but we also request the support of the Government Delegation so that we can contemplate and complete in the Museum the archaeological complex that in Roman times decorated the villa of Los Cantos located in the municipality of Bullas "says the Mayor.
