The cold drop does not leave large incidents passing through Bullas (16/09/2019)

This morning, the Minister of Employment, Universities, Innovation and Research, and Labor Relations and Social Economy, Miguel Motas, visited Bullas, on behalf of the Murcian Executive, to be interested in the effects in the town of Dana or "cold drop" .

In the City of Bullas, it has been received by Mayor María Dolores Muñoz and colleagues from the Municipal Government.

The first Edil has told Motas that "fortunately, Bullas has not been a town affected by the consequences of heavy rains, beyond that the Mula river will increase its flow considerably and the roads in its path will be affected and cut" .

Muñoz, too, wanted to communicate to the Councilor the need for "a more powerful collector" in the upper part of the municipality to avoid flooding in areas such as Luis de los Reyes Avenue in case of torrential rains.

In addition, it has been transmitted that many rural roads have been affected as well as the Greenway as it passes through the town with sections where there are important holes that hinder the passage of users.

Collaboration with Los Alcázares

On the other hand, the City of Bullas will make available to the residents of Bullas a bus, which will leave this Wednesday from the stop at 9 in the morning, to thus coordinate a volunteer team that will help in the cleaning tasks after the floods in one of the municipalities most affected by the cold drop such as Los Alcázares.

Throughout the day the houses that were flooded by water will be cleaned of mud.

Comfortable clothes, water boots (essential), bring your own lunch or lunch are recommended.

Transportation is free and to sign up as a volunteer you have to do it at the Informajoven or by calling 968 65 48 68.

In addition, citizen collaboration is requested to reach the municipalities affected by the cold drop bed linen, towels, blankets, personal hygiene products, as well as cleaning, brooms, buckets, mops, dustpan, and also, bottled water, non-perishable food, etc.

To do this, a space will be enabled in the Youth and Cultural Management office in the House of Culture to deposit all the clothes or supplies that the residents of Bullas want to donate.

The donation can be made from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

From the Consistory of Bullas they thank the population for their exemplary behavior.

In particular, they want to highlight the involvement and good work of local security forces: Local Police, Civil Guard, Civil Protection;

as well as all the Municipal Services staff, who have coordinated since last Wednesday to avoid that the consequences of the cold drop passing through Bullas were the least possible.

"Fortunately, for our municipality without significant consequences." Thank you all, "said municipal sources.
