After receiving the Thursday news of the discovery by the UCO, three of the four statues found a century ago in the Villa Romana Los Cantos, from the City of Bullas we make public our appreciation to the Civil Guard, archaeologists, historians, researchers and individuals in our town who have worked for years in search of this archaeological treasure, heritage of our town.

Undoubtedly one of the best news that all bulleros and bulleras could receive for our culture and artistic heritage.

These sculptures, along with the still missing "child of the grapes" about 2,000 years old, are part of our history and Bullas back to its origins as wine remote area.

Since its discovery and subsequent loss, back in the early twentieth century, lovers of history and heritage of our town have continued in the effort to recover, with the hope that all local residents could enjoy their incalculable artistic value.

Since 2006, through the Wine Museum of Bullas, they have carried out extensive research with the intention of finding their whereabouts, as we have always understood that these statues are part of our heritage and justice which may be contained in Bullas , they are part of our history and come to consummate the work of reconstruction and conservation that began years ago at the site of the Roman Villa of the town, as proof of our commitment to the recovery of this heritage.

On September 15th day, when we were knowledgeable about the important news, the mayor of the town, Maria Dolores Muñoz, presented himself at the headquarters of SEPRONA in Murcia, where he could see first hand the great state of conservation of one of the three statues, which had been placed there temporarily.

According to statements by the first mayor of the municipality "all bulleros are in luck this finding because after a lost century, we have found an important part of our heritage. Now it continue seeking the statue missing and much relevance it has to Bullas therefore it represents, among other things, our biggest institutional insignia, Child of the Grapes ".

From City of Bullas already they have taken steps to ensure that these sculptures are returned to the municipality, because you can not reach in magnitude throughout the site of the Villa Romana, without these pieces that are part of the archaeological site.
