During the past Fiestas Patronales, the City Council of Bullas, with the collaboration of Ecoembes, launched a contest in which it rewarded the young people to recycle the residues derived from the consumption of beverages and packaged foods.
The contest 'Recycle and Breathe' consisted of each rock of the venue 'El Jaraíz' will deposit the waste generated during the holidays in the corresponding container with a sticker with his name and then give an economic prize to the group that more and better recycle.
After a few days and after the counting of stickers, Peña 'La Rave' won the first prize with 120 euros to recycle 46.71% of the waste.
It follows the Peña 'The Elements' with 15.42% and that takes 80 euros.
From the Consistory say that this contest has served to spread among citizens the environmental benefits of recycling and, in turn, raise awareness about the need to reuse, highlighting the commitment of young people to improve the environment through selective collection of waste.
