Yesterday morning the first meeting of a working group composed of representatives of the three Wine Routes of the Region of Murcia: Bullas, Jumilla and Yecla was held in the Wine Museum;
as well as by technicians from the Tourism Institute of the Region of Murcia (ITREM).
The objective is to work on an International Promotion Plan with ACEVIN (Association of Spanish Wine Cities) to receive familiarization trips with journalists and foreign tour operators, making known the tourist resources of the existing wine routes in the Region of Murcia .
The three routes together with ITREM seek to develop a strategy with greater possibilities of success for a better development of the internationalization processes.
The Councilor for Tourism and Local Development, Águeda Fernández, present in this first meeting, said that "it is in everyone's interest to create actions whose main objective is to commercialize internationally the Wine Tourism of our Region" for this has indicated "We will participate in fairs, trade missions, business meetings and other international commercial promotion activities."
On the other hand, the meeting addressed various issues related to the promotion of regional wine tourism in regional and national events, creation of new tourism products and other actions aimed at attracting visitors to the Region who seek destinations related to the culture of wine.
