Francisco Reyes Marsilla de Pascual will be the Crier of the Holy Week of Bullas 2018 (24/01/2018)

The Higher Council of Bully Guilds Reports:

That by means of an ordinary meeting held on November 21, 2017, the Bully of the Holy Week of Bullas 2018 was elected, Dr. Francisco Reyes Marsilla de Pascual, neighbor of Bullas, was elected and although he grew up in Murcia , the love for his beloved Bullas has been present throughout his life.

Exemplary student, Humanities would begin influenced perhaps by his uncle Don Lope (priest), who would transmit his love for History in general, and Historiographic Sciences and Techniques in particular.

Between 1982 and 1987 he completed his studies at the University of Murcia.

In 1998 he obtained a position at the University of Murcia as a professor of Historiographic Sciences and Techniques, department of which he is currently head.

A very dear teacher among his students, he has worked on several lines of research, mostly centered on ecclesiastical issues.

In recent years he has been carrying out large-scale projects such as the cataloging and inventory of the Cathedral Archives of Murcia and, currently, the Parish Archives Bullas and the municipal archives.

Finally, it is remarkable his work during the last years as protector of the Cultural Heritage, both at a regional level, and at a local level in Bullas, witnessing this our Confraternities.

The Cabildo Superior de Cofradías de Bullas informs that, on December 12, 2017, and through an ordinary meeting, the Nazareno of the Year 2018 was elected, choosing among the candidates Mr. Jesús Montoya Álvarez, born in Bullas June 29, 1960, father of two children and brother of the Illustrious Brotherhood of St. John the Evangelist (the Whites) of our town, being an active member of the Board of Directors of the same, in addition to exercising as head of his image throne titular, also collaborates with the Brotherhood of the Patroness of Bullas the Blessed Virgin of the Rosary as an anchor of his throne when it goes out in procession.

This City Council wants to recognize and thank in this way their tireless struggle, their know-how and their passion for Holy Week throughout the year.
