Bullas renews its certification as 'Ruta del Vino de España' (17/04/2018)

The Bullas Wine Route has just obtained the official renewal of its Certification as the "Wine Route of Spain".

This allows us to remain one of the 27 wine destinations that are currently certified in our country and that are part of the Tourism Product Club that has the support of ACEVIN (Spanish Association of Wine Cities) and TURESPAÑA (Spanish Tourism Institute, public body that currently depends on the Ministry of Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda).

Bullas is part of ACEVIN and of the Tourist Product Club since 2006, consolidating its position as one of the reference destinations for wine tourism in our territory.

Being part of this Club allows participation in the promotional initiatives carried out by TURESPAÑA, such as publicity campaigns, visibility in national and international fairs, edition of brochures and publications in several languages or inclusion in the official website of tourism in Spain , among other actions.

The Bullas Wine Route certification recognizes the effort that the wine tourism sector has been making to improve the quality of the services provided to visitors, as well as the companies that have joined and the image of their territory.

Currently the association that manages the Route consists of about thirty companies, including wineries, accommodation, restaurants, museums, shops, etc., and has the support of entities such as the DOP Bullas Regulatory Council and the municipalities of Cehegín and Bullas.

This renewal coincides with the recent publication, by ACEVIN, of its annual report on visits to wineries and wine museums that are part of the Wine Routes Product Club of Spain, a document that allows to know and study the habits and interests of the wine tourism in Spain.

Through this report we know that 2017 has been a really positive year for the Wine Routes of Spain, both for the number of wine tourists and for the growth in the economic impact of the visits.

With respect to the previous year there has been an increase of 18.38% and in nine years the data of visits have tripled, with more than 3 million visitors who bet on practicing wine tourism in Spain.

All this shows the good health enjoyed by wine tourism at the national level, establishing itself as a sustainable tourism product and deseasonalizer, and Bullas is part consolidating as a destination of interest in the region of Murcia, and significantly enriching the tourist offer of our county along with rural, religious, natural and historical-cultural tourism.
