The Mayor of Bullas, Pedro Chico, and Councilwoman Social Services, Maria Antonia Abril, held yesterday a meeting with the Director of Caritas Parish, Jose Moya, to discuss issues related to aid to families and local residents who have lack of economic resources and problems with loan payments and / or receipts of light and water.
In Budget 2013 the Government Team approved a EUR 5,000 Caritas aid.
José Moya, thanked the government the assistance and likewise the town of Bullas that through donations and contributions of the partners make it possible to help needy families.
As for the projects that the Director of the charity has dealt with the Mayor and the Councillor for Social Services, Pedro Chico is committed to study one in which rehabilitated a number of houses he owns the Parish of Our Lady of Rosary for social housing.
In terms of welfare, the Mayor said that "the budgets that we have developed since 2011 are markedly social budgets," noting that "today we have awarded nearly 55,000 euros in urgent need of aid that have benefited the environment to 300 people, "aid for the purchase of books and school supplies, for people who are part of the Telecare and rebates on electricity bills for families who are struggling financially who no longer receive unemployment benefits and can not deal with such payment.
