Older people dependent Bullas Day Centre today received a visit from the Minister of Health and Social Policy, Catherine Lorenzo, who stressed the "importance" of these people continue to maintain contact with their environment, their integration is favored, the participation, solidarity and relationship with the social environment.
Lorenzo was accompanied by the Mayor, Pedro Chico, the councilors of Social Policy and Ageing, Antonia María Abril y Juana Maria Carlini, respectively, and the Managing Director Flair Murciano Social Action (IMAS), Leopoldo Navarro.
The Day Centre Bullas, municipally owned, was opened in September 2012 and has 30 accredited places.
Of these, 22 are arranged by the IMAS by a higher amount to 300,000 euros after passing the Governing Council on 28 March, increasing the number of seats from 18 to 22.
The Minister said: "With this increase the number of places is intended to respond to demand, promoting the reconciliation of work and family life and further strengthen the regional network of resources for elderly dependents without breaking its link with the family environment. "
For his part, the mayor said it is a great investment of the Regional Government "for our elderly are well cared for by a team of dedicated professionals as we have seen in the visit."
Furthermore, the first mayor took the opportunity to move to the Advisor the need for expansion of the building that houses the Health Center Bullas for improved distribution of spaces and specialties offered there and reform or build a new medical clinic in the hamlet of La Copa
The number of places in day center scheme is in Bullas have to add 135 users served through the IMAS Telecare Service, managed by Televida, and 31 who are receiving financial benefit linked to the Domiciliary Support Services in this location.
