The remains of the former Archbishop of Valladolid, D. Antonio García y García, born in Bullas in 1880 and died in Valladolid in 1953, have been transferred from the convent founded the Discalced Carmelites of Tordesillas to the capital, Valladolid, specifically , the Sanctuary of the Great Promise.
Last Friday, the funeral and burial of Favorite Son of Bullas was held and appointed Archbishop of Valladolid in 1938. At a celebration presided by the Archbishop of Valladolid, D. Ricardo Blazquez, attended the pastor of the Church Ntra. Sra. del Rosario, Juan Jose Noguera, the Councillor for Culture, Pakistan Caballero, and a member of the Committee that drafted the book of the patron saint of Bullas.
These led graveyard dirt Bullas to wrap the remains of D. Antonio García with it and a flower.
"His memory lives on in the Valladolid for the important work he did there figure in which 15 who was Archbishop" noted the Councillor for Culture, adding that "Bullas was also important, he gave the image of the Virgin del Rosario, work Granda, a teacher who worked at the Shrine of the Great Promise ".
Now his remains rest in the temple that helped finish building and consecrated in 1941.
