Bullas City Council informs the owners of dogs, cats and ferrets is mandatory rabies vaccination for all pets belonging to any of these three species.
In this regard, the Ministries of Agriculture and Water and Health and Social Policy issued a joint Order which states "mandatory, annual rabies vaccination in pets of human habitat, particularly in canine species , feline and mustélidas (ferrets), located in the Region of Murcia. "
In order further specifies that the age for first vaccination, which will be 3 and a half months for dogs and ferrets, and five months for cats.
Vaccination is carried out exclusively by veterinary surgeons, pudiéndola perform in concentrations, municipal dispensaries, clinics, veterinary clinics, animal hospitals or other appropriate facilities for this purpose.
Prior to vaccination character, the veterinarian will perform a physical examination to determine if the animal has the ideal conditions for vaccination.
All vaccinations will be recorded in the database Identification System Companion Animals Murcia (SIAMU).
Therefore, the movement of domestic animals of those species is prohibited, if their owners or holders do not have appropriate supporting documentation health rabies vaccination and the use of dogs and / or realas in the hunting of any Nature without them they meet mandatory vaccination established.
The property of people from other regions or countries which are in transit through the region of Murcia, dogs must have said health documentation, or alternatively, proceed to the mandatory vaccination.
The failure of these measures will be punished in accordance with the system of offenses and penalties contained in Law 10/1990, of 27 August, on the Protection and Defense of Companion Animals and the Law 8/2003 of 24 April Animal Health.
