On 14 and 15 December, the City of Bullas was present at the first meeting of the European project 'Life Sec Adapt', held in Senigallia in the region 'Marche' (Italy).
This cooperation project aims to increase the capacity of climate resilience through membership and active participation in the 'Adapt Mayors' initiative and the incorporation and integration of climate objectives of the European Union in local policies and plans.
In addition, it aims to adopt and update the model of sustainable energy communities as best practice for the development of a proper process of adaptation to climate change in local institutions.
The project is a continuation of the previous project ACT (Adaptation to Climate Change in Time) will last 40 months, ending on December 31, 2018, and receive a European contribution of € 1,928,225.
'Life Sec Adapt' will feature a partnership composed of 23 members including twelve municipalities of the Italian Region 'Mache', six municipalities and Regional Development Agency of the Region of Istria in Croatia is included, the municipal Planning and Development of Patras in Greece and the city of Bullas.
The role of Bullas with the municipalities of Ancona and Patras be to pass on the experience gained over the years the ACT Project and to contribute to the development of an assessment of the socio-economic impact of climate change.
