Last weekend, the Wine Festival reached its peak with the celebration of the harvest reception, which did not want to miss dozens of neighbors present in the blessing of the first must and the start-up of the wine fountain.
The morning of Sunday started after 11:30 with the parade of local authorities, the announcers, festive clubs and their ladies, as well as the members of the rock 'La Uva' huertana that opened the parade.
In addition, there was a delegation from Yecla headed by Yecla Tourism Councilor, Jesús Verdú, and the President of the Yecla Wine Route, Juan Pedro Castaños, and the Technical Director of the DO Yecla Regulatory Council, David Azorín , in addition to the President of the Festeras Peñas Federation 'Fiestas de San Isidro' of Yecla accompanied by the children and adult queens with the ladies of those parties.
Likewise, the Mayor of Mula, Juan Jesús Moreno, also attended, together with the Councilor for Tourism, Paqui Ibernón, invited to belong to the Denomination of Origin of Bullas and for their recent union to the Bullas Wine Route.
The official reception of the harvest was not lost either, participating in all the acts, the Minister of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fishing, Miguel Ángel del Amor. Of course, Bullas did not lack the President of the Regulatory Council, Francisco Carreño, and the President of the Ruta de Vino de Bullas, Toñi Fernández.
All toured the main streets of the center to the music of the band 'Villa de Bullas'.
Then, after the folkloric performance of the La Uva rock, the wine fountain was started and then the first must was blessed.
It was the new parish priest, Tomás Álvarez Sánchez, who was in charge of blessing and asking for a good harvest of grapes during these harvest days.
During the event, the Councilor wanted to congratulate the parties on all the boleros and spoke about the good qualities of the Bullas wines, highlighting the work and joint effort of vine growers, winemakers, cooperatives, institutions to offer a product here and abroad. quality.
For her part, the Mayor María Dolores Muñoz, who thanked Miguel Ángel del Amor and the Yecla delegation for their assistance, welcomed Mula to the Bullas Wine Route, where the neighboring town of Cehegín
Bringing the first must, wished a happy holiday to all those present and invited those who are outside of Bullas to know the benefits that the municipality offers especially on these holidays.
The event ended with all of them in a relaxed atmosphere tasting DOP Bullas wines with the dishes prepared in the 'Show Cooking' in which restaurateurs of the Region and the municipality participated from 11.30 am in the Plaza de España within the program 'Thousand and one flavors' of the Institute of Tourism of the Region of Murcia.
