The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports has made improvement works in the Secondary Education Institute Los Cantos, Bullas.
The general director of Educational Centers, Remedios Lajara, visited the center this week and explained that "the Community has expanded the vocational training offer with the implementation of the Hairdressing and Aesthetics cycle, which is why works have been carried out to adapt the facilities".
Specifically, two spaces have been adapted, one for a hairdressing classroom and the other for an aesthetic one, with a global amount that exceeds 75,000 euros.
To enable the classroom aesthetics has been carried out the closing of a porch, with a budget of 45,355 euros.
In addition, the painting and tiling has been done on the walls, the installation of false acoustic ceiling, and plumbing, electricity, lighting and heating installations.
These works are added to those that the Ministry made to rehabilitate another space for another hairdressing classroom, with an investment of 29,997 euros.
These works are part of the 'Educational Infrastructure Plan 2018-2019', which has an investment of 20 million euros to undertake 116 actions in educational infrastructure of almost all municipalities.
The objective is "to improve the educational quality and the development of the teaching and pedagogical activity", said the general director.
The 2018-2019 course has begun with the largest offer of Vocational Training in the Region of Murcia.
Thus, this year the Community offers 28 new cycles and more than 29,000 places in the levels of basic vocational training, intermediate and higher levels, which means 500 places more than last year.
In addition, this year six new titles of different professional families are offered, reaching a total of 129 different titles.
Of these, four correspond to basic FP (a total of 19 titles), another to medium grade (a total of 45 titles) and one to a higher degree (65 titles).
