Yesterday morning the program was presented by the Mayor, María Dolores Muñoz, the Councilor for Tourism, Águeda Fernández, the Councilor for Culture, Antonio José Espín, and on behalf of the Bullas Wine Route Association, Paqui Sánchez, who holds the position of Treasurer in the aforementioned Association.

"Today we can say that Vinarte as wine improves over the years" said the mayor of Tourism who detailed the activities that have had a fixed structure since the last four years.

Thus, the Vinarte 2019 program presents concerts at the Wine Museum accompanied by guided (and commented) tastings, visits to the Wine Museum, the D. Pepe Marsilla House Museum, the Roman site of Los Cantos, exhibitions, wine routes with visits to wineries and walks through the natural environment of Bullas, dramatized visits, activities for children, etc.

In addition, the cycle is enriched by the 12th Bullos PDO Exhibition, organized by the Regulatory Board of said Denomination.

Especially expected every year, are the dinners and food pairing that enjoy a good reception by the public, and involving up to a total of 18 prestigious companies associated with the Wine Route, between wineries and restaurants of the Shire.

It must be said that these food and wine pairing events participate in the contest organized by the Bullas Wine Route Association, with a jury made up of representatives from the Gastronomy Academy of the Region and the Association of Sommeliers of the Murcia region, who will evaluate the different proposals for pairing presented.

"With these activities that revolve around wine we intend to bring the culture of wine to the population and make our wines known under the Denomination of Protected Origin Bullas outside our municipality" said the councilor of Culture who added "we understand that in this way we give a greater promotion and we transmit to all, from the smallest as to the greatest, the love for our wines and our traditions ".

On the other hand, this year women take center stage, a fact that the first mayor wanted to highlight.

And on March 1, an exhibition is inaugurated at the Wine Museum, where the students of the Mixed Employment and Training Program 'Madera de Bullas' take the title 'Women of Fire' and where they show paintings made with the technique of pyrography.

In addition, on the occasion of International Women's Day, on Friday, March 8, an activity called 'Wines with a woman's signature' will take place in which four women winemakers, workers in the Bullas Wine Route wineries, prepare a special tasting day

And no less important, the first tasting included in the cycle of concerts (on March 9), will also be led by women linked especially to the world of wine.

The Mayor concluded the presentation wishing that Vinarte enjoy every day of greater entity and continue to consolidate over the years with the favor of the public for it.

Muñoz also wished to congratulate the Regulatory Council for carrying out a new edition of the Bullas Denomination of Origin Exhibition, whose closing gala will be in Mula, one of the nine municipalities that make up the Denomination of Origin territory.
