The Mayor of Bullas, María Dolores Muñoz, today signed the collaboration and coordination procedure with the colonel of the 5th Civil Guard Zone, Jesús Arribas, and in the presence of the government delegate, Diego Conesa, for the protection of the victims of gender violence.
The Bullas Local Police is thus incorporated into the comprehensive monitoring system 'Viogen' of the Ministry of the Interior.
"Ensuring that effective judicial measures to protect victims is one of the objectives of this agreement that we do not add" said Muñoz.
The Viogen system brings together public institutions that are competent to deal with gender-based violence in order to integrate information on cases, predict risk, monitor and protect them, and take preventive measures against incidents or events that could endanger the integrity of the system. victim.
"Viogen thus creates a network for rapid, comprehensive and effective monitoring and protection of women and minors victims of gender-based violence, in which different competent institutions are integrated in the safety of victims, facilitating the transmission of the necessary information for monitoring protection measures, the situation of the victims and the circumstances of the aggressor, "said the delegate, who has mentioned the local police as a fundamental piece in the fight against gender violence given its operation and proximity.
The signing of these documents, which have also been added the consistories of Caravaca, Cehegín, Moratalla and Totana, is the prerequisite for the incorporation of the respective bodies of Local Police to 'Viogen' in compliance with the LO 1/2004, of Integral Protection Measures against Gender Violence.
