Next Saturday, September 21, within the framework of the Wine Festivities that are held from September 20 to 30 in the municipality, the appointment of Master of Wine will take place in the Wine Museum that this year falls to the person of Juan Pedro García Martínez (Murcia, 1973), anthropologist and viticulturist, closely linked to Bullas by his family and for having here lands on which the vineyard works.
Juan Pedro García Martínez, has developed his research activity around the wine sector of the Bullas region from which the books "History of the Denomination of Protected Origin Vinos de Bullas" (2019) and "Bullas: 100 years of wine cooperativism "(2016), as well as various articles published in magazines and in the press.
He is responsible for the blog www.vinosmalditos.com since 2011 dedicated to the history of the vine and wine in the northwest of Murcia.
He is also a regular contributor to the Wine Museum, with whom he continuously shares information and offers his experience for the organization of activities, including the curating of some of the most relevant temporary exhibitions scheduled from this institution.
"He is a close person, who collaborates with us regularly, a recognition he deserves for his relationship with the wines and, moreover, for his close relationship with Bullas," said municipal sources.
