In the Region of Murcia up to the date of the report (COVID situation report 19 in the Murcia region, March 27, 2020), 802 confirmed cases of COVID infection have been registered19.
The first case was declared on March 6 and confirmed as positive on March 8.
As of today, 231 cases are admitted to hospitals in the Region, of which 58 are in the ICU.
Home isolation was indicated to 68% of the confirmed patients and 39 patients were discharged from the hospital for clinical improvement.
12 patients have been epidemiologically discharged and 17 deaths have occurred.
The diagnostic tests carried out for the detection of coronaviruses have been 5,278. Of the 802 confirmed cases to date, detailed information is currently available on 674 cases.

How to protect yourself
To protect yourself from coronavirus infection, there are some basic actions that can help you:
1. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom;
before eating;
and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
2. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with your unwashed hands.
3. Stay home when you are sick.
4. When coughing or sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with your elbow flexed or with a disposable tissue;
Throw the tissue away immediately and wash your hands with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
