The Community launches the '#MomentosConvinados' campaign to promote the consumption of regional DO wines (29/04/2020)

| It seeks to encourage and enhance the consumption of quality products from the Region to relaunch them and thus overcome the consequences of the crisis sanitary | It will have the participation of consumers, who will choose to win wines from the Denominations of Origin of Jumilla, Yecla and BullasThe directors of Water, Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and the Environment, Antonio Luengo, and Tourism, Youth and Sports, Cristina Sánchez, today presented the campaign '#MomentosConvinados', which aims to "encourage all people to share with Those moments we lived as a result of confinement came: the calls, the 'online' meetings with family or friends; to consume local wines and, with this, contribute to the maintenance of a sector in which the Region has the privilege of offering three Denominations of Origin, "said Luengo.To this end, '#MomentosConvinados' brings together the Regulatory Councils of Jumilla, Yecla and Bullas in order to highlight "the added value that our quality products have, which have been greatly affected by the health crisis and the confinement that has been derived from it.

It is an original campaign, adapted to confinement, in which a group of friends shares those moments, and that we will see on social networks, digital media or the press in the coming weeks, "explained the counselor.This new initiative, "with which the commitment of the regional government to the wine sector is demonstrated", will be present in digital media, as well as social networks and digital television, "approaching the target audience through the channels that most they have diffusion during this time ”, added Luengo.For its part, the Minister of Tourism, Youth and Sports, Cristina Sánchez, explained that with this type of initiative "the wealth that our land, the Region of Murcia, treasures and among its greatness, the exquisiteness of its wines, is evident."The counselor stressed “the effort that the regional wine sector has made during this time of confinement, always present in our homes, at tables anywhere in the world, and now is the time to say thanks on the one hand and for another show our support and commitment.

This sector is very important for the Region of Murcia to show signs of preserving part of the attractiveness with which it shone before the health crisis ”.CompetitionThe campaign encourages everyone to participate in a contest by sending photos with family or friends with a glass of wine, which will give option to a prize consisting of a year of wine from the Denominations of Origin of the Region of Murcia, a bottle per week.The event was attended, through videoconference, by representatives and winemakers of the Denominations of Origin of Jumilla, Yecla and Bullas and of the municipalities included in their respective territories, as well as of the hospitality, gastronomy and tourism associations, wine routes, university representatives o Cartagena Business Confederation, among others.
