The Bullas City Council budget approved for 2021 responds to two clear objectives: Continuity and Ambition.
Continuity to guarantee each and every one of the basic services that the city council must provide at this very delicate moment and which, in turn, anticipate the situation in subsequent years.
And Ambition to undertake or start all those projects that our people need and that the citizens of Bullas and La Copa deserve.
The budget amounts to a total of 8,461,650.00 in income and 8,032,218.84 in expenses.
It has a surplus, as in previous years' budgets, which this time amounts to 429,431.16.
In the budget of expenses, it is possible to highlight, in the first place, the increase of some items aimed at helping various groups.
For example, a 45,000 item has been established for the call for aid to support autonomous workers and merchants in the municipality, similar to the one already announced in May 2020.
The municipal financial aid item is increases to 75,000, the aid for school supplies to 25,000 and the total amount of the municipal Employment Exchanges increases to 130,000.
The aid to sports associations and clubs is increased to 30,000 and the subsidy for the Local Civil Protection Association is increased to 27,500.
Contributions to the Ruta del Vino Association or the Association of Artisans "El Zacat n" are also increased.
On the other hand, the amount of Participative Budgets stands out, which remains at 45,000 ( 32,400 for Bullas and 12,600 for La Copa); an item for the municipal contribution to the works of the Urban Regeneration and Renovation area, with 32,400, with which it is intended, among other things, to continue with the adaptation of the sidewalks of Avda.
Luis de los Reyes; and an item for the replacement of street pavement, amounting to 40,000.
It also highlights the departure of the municipal contribution to the Works and Services Plan, through which the coverage of the sports court of the Colegio Obispos Garc a R denas will be carried out this year.
Also noteworthy is the increase in the maintenance and conservation item of the Wine Museum, in order to carry out various actions necessary to improve the security of the building; the increase in the item for repair, maintenance and upkeep of educational centers, which amounts to 15,000; that of public actions related to health, which also amounts to 15,000; o the increase to 10,000 of the item of repair, maintenance and conservation of infrastructures in La Copa.
The budget in the area of ??Environment has also been increased, raising both the item of miscellaneous expenses and the municipal contribution to the access control service to the Salto del Usero area, and which this past summer was extended to other areas of the Mula River, which rises to 15,000.A new item has been created for cultural activities in the La Rafa amphitheater with 8,000, and various items of party expenses have been reduced, such as Carnival, San Marcos or other miscellaneous expenses.
Regarding the income budget, it includes, on the one hand, the reduction foreseen by the discounts and exemptions approved in various taxes and fees, such as the discount in the IBI for large families, the discount in the ICIO for the works in hotel establishments and tourist accommodation, or the exemption of the tax for occupation of the public street with tables and chairs.
On the other hand, other reductions are included, motivated by the foreseeable reduction in income, for example, by the use of sports facilities or by visits to museums.
Therefore, the budgets respond to the political line established by this Government Team for five years.
It is about continuing to grow, about making setbacks a reason for opportunity, doing it with enthusiasm and conviction.
In addition to uniting legitimate ambition, caution.
We must prepare the municipality and its economic opportunities for situations that are not the most favorable, in order to continue guaranteeing, where appropriate, the fair provision of services that we all want and need.
