The Council of Environment will insist to the CHS for the recovery of the ecological flow (26/01/2017)

Councilor for the Environment, Juan Valera, has recently asked the Segura Hydrographic Confederation (CHS) to take measures to ensure that there is an ecological flow of the River Mula to its passage through Bullas, as ordered by environmental laws.

As a first step, Valera urges that Pascual Ucenda not cease water to keep alive the biodiversity of the river bank, despite the fact that water is extracted from there for the Pozo del Pradillo.

"We want the Confederation to carry out a study to assess the environmental state of the Mula River and, in the process, to study what can be done to bring water back from the Mula Fountain naturally," said the Councilor for the Environment, adding " This would imply not overexploit the area, so you have to put measures ".

On the other hand, from the City of Bullas is expected that the snowfall last week increase the water reserves of aquifers and wells.

Still, the councilman states that "it is not understood how with the snowy and water-laden lands, you choose to draw water from the well, although the storage reservoirs have enough water and in peak hours of light."
