Last Friday, the winners of the V Ruralmur Awards were announced at the Regional Center of Crafts of Murcia presented by the Director General of Trade and Consumer Protection, Francisca Cabrera, and the President of Ruralmur, José Antonio Lucas.

Among the winners are the Bullas Restaurant Borrego and Bodegas Carrascalejo, in the categories Gastronomy and Crafts, respectively.

Other winners are: Honorary prize to Jesus Griñan, belenista, in the category Tourism to the Real and Illustrious Confraternity of the Santísima and Vera Cruz of Caravaca, Sport prize to the Catholic University of Murcia, prize Promotion of Murcia to the President of UCOMUR, Juan Antonio Pedreño, Heritage Promotion Award to the Director of programming of the Regional Museum of Modern Art, Juan García Sandoval, Art and Culture prize to Carlos Piñana, flamenco guitarist, Association Award to the Federation of Peñas Huertanas de Murcia, That Rico, of fries elaborated in Bullas in Patatas Rubio, prize Investigation to the Traumatologist of the Hospital Virgin of the Arrixaca, Juanjo López, and Institution prize to the City council of Murcia.

These awards are held annually in recognition of the business activity developed in the tourism and artisan sector and with the aim of promoting and enhancing the quality of the rural and artisan tourism enterprise of the Region of Murcia with the following categories: Rural Tourism, Craft, Gastronomy, Art and Culture, Promotion of Murcia, Sport, Association, Divulgation of Heritage, Dissemination and Institution.

Being the first three categories the users of the Ruralmur portal itself, those who value and select the winners through the web, by votes.

The gala in which the prizes are presented will be held next Thursday, March 16, at 8.30 pm in the Regional Center of Crafts of Murcia.

About the Ruralmur Association

Ruralmur is a non-profit association, inscribed in the Artisan Register of the Region of Murcia in the section Services to the craft and whose objective is to promote the consumption of Murcia products, its gastronomy, as well as to support and spread the culture and Murcian artistic production and to value its landscape heritage.

Its main tool for this is the portal www.ruralmur.com, putting directly in contact the clients with the owners of the regional companies, for free.
