Last Saturday, the auditorium of the House of Culture hosted the closing ceremony and awards ceremony of the 1st Amateur Theater Contest "Villa de Bullas".
The gala began with the performance of the local theater group Maticate which represented 'The altarpiece of wonders' and, at the end, the prizes were awarded to the winners of this first Contest.
The best work was for "In BLACK, Live in black" of Orozú Theater of Cadiz that took a prize of 200 €, the second best work for "Seven Screams in the Sea" of Theater in Construction of Elche endowed with a prize of 150 € and the third best work for "Angelina or the honor of a brigadier" of the Theater Group Ólea de Algezares (Murcia) with a prize of € 100.
They also won the award, the best direction for Manuel de Reyes with 200 euros from the Ólea Theater group, the best actress for María José Vives Gomis of the company in Theater in Construction with a prize of 100 euros and best actor for José María Gómez de la Orozú company with 100 euros of prize.
The awards were presented by Mayor María Dolores Muñoz, Councilor for Culture Antonio José Espín, Councilor for Works and Services Juan Valera and members of the jury.
