Introduced the campaign 'In Bullas, abandoning trash is expensive' (12/06/2017)

This morning the Department of Environment has presented a new campaign whose main objective is to raise awareness once again to the citizens of the importance of recycling the waste we generate, depositing them in the corresponding container.

The event that has developed in the vicinity of Ecoparque has had the presence of agents of 'Clean Region of Murcia' and 'Ecoembes', in addition to the Sergeant of the Local Police and the Head of Services of the City of Bullas.

The campaign that carries the title 'In Bullas, abandoning garbage is expensive' clarifies how to recycle and the economic sanctions ranging from 30 to 12,000 euros, in case of not complying with the Ordinance on depositing trash and recycling.

On the other hand, Patricia García of the non-profit environmental organization Ecoembes has explained that to help Bullas in its goal of being one of the municipalities of the Region of Murcia that more and better recycle, will deliver to the City Council 492 paper mills Of packaging and cardboard to be installed in all municipal buildings and schools.

In addition, the locality will participate in a pilot project 'HORECA' that will implement the selective collection in bars, cafes and restaurants.

The Bullas Hotel sector will have free of charge small and medium sized bins that will facilitate the recycling of the containers consumed in its premises.

For this there will be three containers distributed in the municipality with the mouth of a larger size where they can deposit the containers.

To all this we must add that the municipality of Bullas will participate in the autonomic campaign called 'Respira' which includes prizes of up to 6,000 euros for the municipalities that recycle the most in the Region.

Objective, as noted by Councilor for the Environment, Juan Valera, "we are closer to complying since we are the ones that recycle the most in glass and we have also increased in 2016, compared to 2015, 22% (7.93 kg / Hab) the containers that are deposited in the yellow container and 28% (9.80 kg / hab) the recycling of cardboard and paper in the blue container ".

Through these actions, apart from those developed by the 'Region of Murcia clean' in schools with talks and workshops, the aim is to motivate citizens to deposit plastic containers, cans and briks in the yellow container, glass in Green, cardboard and paper in the blue, oil in the orange or other large waste in the Ecopark, both inside and outside the home.
