La Benemérita has counted on the collaboration of the Local Bullas Police

The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia, in the framework of the 'Plan against theft in homes' and in collaboration with the Local Police Bullas, has developed the operation 'LABEA' that has been settled, so far, with the arrest of five people, one of them minors, dedicated to the commission of robberies with force in housing, usurpation of property, defraudation of electrical fluid, falsification of documents and belonging to a criminal organization.

Since last October, civil guards specializing in the prevention of public safety were aware of thefts committed in several homes located in the same building in the municipality of Bullas, owned by banks, from which all types of appliances had been stolen, taps and furniture, which had caused some social alarm.

The Civil Guard, in collaboration with the Local Police Bullas, found out that the aforementioned property, managed by a real estate agency, was uninhabited and that, allegedly, was being illegally occupied.

The surveys made it possible to detect that the power supply of eight of the houses had been fraudulently connected to the network, which increased the suspicions about their irregular occupation, for which several devices were established to locate and identify the inhabitants. of the floors.

Once identified, the agents found out that these people, in addition, could be related to thefts committed in other houses of the aforementioned building from where they had been stolen, after breaking the main door, all kinds of personal property such as appliances (glass-ceramic hobs) , electric water heaters, ovens, faucets) and furniture.

False rent contracts to register the 'squatters'

The indications obtained oriented the agents to an individual, with a bulky criminal history and supposed ringleader of the criminal network, who had occupied one of the houses and, in addition, had favored the occupation of seven others, even going so far as to make false leases , so that the residents could request the corresponding certificate of municipal census.

For this reason discreet monitoring devices were established on the suspect, with the objective of knowing his modus operandi, as well as to clarify the alleged criminal structure directed, on the one hand, to the illegal occupation of the houses and on the other to the theft in the rest of buildings of the building.

The agents found out that, at random and at dawn, a van had been seen next to the building in which, some of the suspects had loaded numerous objects of the related as stolen.

Recently, the investigation has culminated when the Benemérita has determined the degree of involvement of the residents of the houses in the investigated crimes, which has allowed to find out that the stolen effects were offered for sale, immediately, through different portals. of Internet dedicated to the purchase and sale of second-hand objects.

The meticulous analysis of the information obtained during the development of the operation has allowed, until now, to clarify 27 criminal acts, among which are crimes of robbery with force (12), defraudation of electrical fluid (8), usurpation of housing (4), documentary falsification (2) and belonging to a criminal organization.

The arrested two men and three women, one of them minors, Spaniards and with ages between 23 and 28 years and the educated diligences have been put at the disposal of the Magistrate's Court No. 2 of Mula and the Office of the Prosecutor for Minors of Murcia.

The investigation continues open so that new arrests are not ruled out.
