The City of Bullas welcomes the news that the regional press echoes about the overexploitation of Bullas aquifers (01/03/2018)

Yesterday, the CHS agreed to this measure that will allow the recovery of the Mula River to be initiated through the creation of a Central Users Board and an Extraction Ordinance Plan.

The news, which today echoed both the newspaper La Verdad and La Opinion, notes that the Mula River is drying up because of the over-exploitation of the mass of groundwater in the municipality of Bullas is the origin from the springs of the Fountain of Rafa, Fuente Avilés and the birth of the river itself.

Through this management plan and the User Board, the Confederation will put 'in order' the uses assigned to these aquifers, and it will be seen if it is necessary to close some of them, such as wells.

From the Consistory they rejoice for the measure taken by the Confederation.

In particular, the Councilor for Agriculture and the Environment, Juan Valera, who has denounced on many occasions that the Mula River suffers extreme situations due to the extraction of water from wells and, in some cases, being illegal.
