The Minister of Agriculture and Water, Antonio Cerdá, filed today with the Chairman of the Board of the Designation of Origin of Bullas, Jose Sanchez, and the mayor of the municipality, Esteban Egea, the IV Sample Heading Bullas, which will be held on February 28 and March 1 at the Wine Museum in the town.
The owner of Agriculture and Water said the Bullas DO is younger producing zone of the Region ", having started in 1994.
The inscribed, with 600 growers, comprising a total of nine municipalities in the region and reaches more than 2,500 hectares of vineyard.
This label produces 1.4 million liters of wine annually.
Antonio Cerdá stressed the "social, family and environment," which the cultivation of the vine, and highlighted the "two big bets" that the regional government has been doing on this crop, "they are pioneers in Spain."
He stressed that the Rural Development Program in the Region of Murcia is the only one in Spain which includes environmental support for the conservation of the vine. "
He also explained that the Ministry of Agriculture and Water, in collaboration with the sector, remains a pilot program for biological control of vineyard, which has reduced by 80 percent the use of phytochemicals in the treated areas.
The municipality of Bullas host a new edition of this event with various promotional and training activities as lectures, tastings, visits and Competition IV Quality Wines.
