The municipality of Bullas, through its mayor and council Esteban Egea Environment, José Maria Ortega, have signed this cooperation agreement that has as main objectives: the preservation of the environment, combating poverty and social exclusion and creating jobs in the region of Murcia.
With this partnership, the municipality of Bullas has wanted to join these ends through the regulation and implementation of systems for separate collection of waste textiles, footwear and toys that the partnership envisaged in the collaboration agreement is signed with almost all municipalities in the Region of Murcia.
The Abraham Project Association is a nonprofit organization and an authorized agent of waste textiles, footwear and toys.
The collection and management of these wastes allowing the association to finance the programs of care for people at risk and / or as social exclusion in our region.
In 2010, Project Abraham picked up in the Region of Murcia more than 2,400 tons of clothing, footwear and toys, served more than 7000 people at risk and / or exclusion and created over 50 jobs.
