The Minister of Public Works and Planning, Antonio Sevilla, announced today that the rehabilitation Bullas House Marsilla Pepe, whose project is part of the grant program of the Autonomous Community to local authorities in architecture, will conclude next month October
Sevilla said that that program is intended to aid those buildings than for its historical values, their type or their proper integration into the environment, are considered urban or architectural value.
The rehabilitation project has a budget of 584,640 euros, 50 percent subsidized by the regional administration.
Being respectful of the character and identity of the property, the Minister explained that "the works have focused on the recovery, conservation and appreciation of it to its proper use at first for cultural use, it houses the Ethnographic Museum since 2007 , and subsequently for administrative purposes through comprehensive rehabilitation is now underway. "
Well municipal architectural interest
La Casa Pepe Marsilla, which was the home of the mayor of the town, is located in the center of town and is classified as a interest of the municipality.
It is an eighteenth century house which was part of the old buildings Balsa Street, next to the main ditch Bullas.
The building had two distinct areas: a stately part (facing east) and another area for offices for the servants and uses related to agricultural activity (warehouse, mill, barns, stables ...) The house is U-shaped, although the original house was defined by two bays parallel to the facade, with a rectangular, as bays that were added perpendicular to the original that gave rise to its current form.
The building responds to the traditional type-based structure of walls of masonry, lime mortar coatings, brick timbrel vaults in the cellar, covered with wood beam structure and finished with curved tile, flooring and hydraulic mud.
