The Community agrees with Bullas new measures to reduce energy consumption and boost clean energy (27/02/2012)

The Ministry of Universities and Research Company, through the Agency for Energy Management (ARGEM) signed today with the town of Bullas a protocol which sets out the measures that the municipality will implement to reduce their consumption energy, promote clean energy use and reduce CO2 emissions to the atmosphere.

In this regard, the Minister Jose Ballesta said that with the implementation of these measures, "the town of Bullas help improve the environment, preventing the emission into the atmosphere by 2020 to a total of 7,700 tons of CO2, 20 percent less than it emits in the moment. "

According to data available to the Agency for Energy Management in the Region of Murcia (ARGEM), an organization that provides technical advice to all municipalities in energy savings, the municipality of Bullas consume 130,186 megawatt hours, with transport sector increased consumption.

The measures provided for actions involving energy savings in transport and buildings in public and private sectors, including the installation of renewable energy in buildings by energy service companies, which allows for investment while reducing the electricity bill .

In the case of private buildings are studied formulas to stimulate investment, while in the transport sector energy savings goes through promoting bicycle use, increase use of public transport, the increase in biofuels vehicles and the gradual introduction of electric vehicles.

A new solar power plant in Bullas
