Bullas Schools participate in a talk about dyslexia (16/05/2012)

Yesterday he met in a work session the group consisting of teachers representing all schools in Bullas in the Municipal Library to learn, among other issues, dyslexia and other disorders that hinder student learning.

Representatives from each school heard presentations by Francisco Román, professor at the University of Murcia in neuropsychology, and Immaculate Llorente, a professor in pedagogy therapist.

Dyslexia, Francisco Román said it is a specific learning difficulty reading, sometimes accompanied by alterations in writing that the student is detected when the child is in how you present difficulties in acquiring the skills prelectoras being from the 8 or 9 years old when diagnosed.

Once the diagnosis, the neurology professor noted that "education must respond adapted to the profile of the dyslexic child," and that dyslexia does not affect people equally.

For his part, insisted that Llorente Immaculate dyslexic children are children "normal, intelligent" that thrive in other areas and that "can greatly improve and compensate for these difficulties methodologies conducive to learning" at the same level as their peers.

This meeting is part of the activities promoted by the Association Adixmur based in Molina de Segura non-profit that is made up of families and individuals, some of the municipality of Bullas, directly or indirectly related to dyslexia and other learning difficulties, and was born with the need to provide answers and help them overcome their difficulties.
