On May 31 ended on Sewing Workshop organized by the association, nonprofit, Project Abraham, with whom it collaborates Bullas City Council since 2010.
This morning, the Director General of Social Affairs, Gender and Immigration, Leopoldo Navarro, the mayor of Bullas, Peter Boy, the Councillor for Social Policy, Maria Antonia April, the President and Secretary of the Association, Rafael Sanchez and Maria Jose Chumillas , respectively, have closed the 40-hour workshop socio-occupational training with the presentation of diplomas at 9 women living in Bullas, 5 Spanish and 4 Moroccans, who have participated in it and who have worked in making costumes who will wear the Collective of Friends of "La Mora" on the feast of San Juan on the night of June 23.
Leopoldo Navarro, highlighted on Project Abraham "is a good example of self-financing" and that since they received a grant from the Autonomous Region in 2008 the Association has developed a green economy based on non-hazardous waste management and textile , footwear and toys.
Meanwhile, the mayor of Bullas said that "the City Council will continue to work with such associations with social work and that such workshops show that there are people interested in learning a trade as is the couture. "
The workshop has been caring for people at risk of social exclusion, promoting their reintegration and / or inclusion through an integrated activity at the same time it has sought to preserve the environment by recycling clothing, toys, shoes, etc. ..
Materials that are collected from containers located in different parts of the municipalities it works with Project Abraham for later reuse in workshops socio-occupational and sewing that has developed in Bullas.
