The Union of Small Farmers and Ranchers, UPA, in the Region of Murcia has launched an awareness campaign on the importance of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).
This morning during the weekly market development has been informed of this matter Bullas Antonio Moreno, Secretary of Agriculture of UPA.
Until this stand has shifted the Mayor, Pedro Chico, interested in the campaign "What the citizen should know about the CAP".
This information campaign will release the CAP arrangements and impact on crops are most representative of the area.
Also, there will be seminars, open days on farms and breakfast with the press media and other campaign activities.
The CAP was created in the 50s to ensure a stable supply of affordable food and agricultural viability.
So that now contributes to rural life and preserve the natural and the environment, encourage farmers to develop their business more sustainable and promote local and regional specialties.
