SUPPORTING MEMORANDUM ON MOTION Tajo-Segura
The March 20, 1979 came into operation the Tajo-Segura.
From the socioeconomic point of view, has been a lot of impact it has had the work and the water of Diversion in the territories to which benefits, it is currently impossible to consider not only the development but also the maintenance, Southeastern Spanish, without the input of water from the transfer of the Tagus.
The Tajo-Segura is absolutely indispensable, for Murcia and Spain, always has been, to its inhabitants, for REGANTES and the Partido Popular, because this infrastructure backbone, provides solidarity and richness to the whole of Spain.
It has a direct impact on the Spanish GDP of over € 5,000 million generating over 100,000 direct jobs.
It allows more than 200,000 hectares of irrigated land and more than 40 million fruit trees, providing security of supply to more than 2,000,000 inhabitants.
The Spanish Constitution in its Article 2, defends the indissoluble unity of the Spanish Nation, the common and indivisible homeland of all Spanish, and recognizing the right to autonomy of the nationalities and regions that compose it and the solidarity among them, being the Article 14 determines that the Spanish are equal before the law grants the State exclusive jurisdiction over the regulation of basic conditions guaranteeing the equality of all Spanish in the exercise of rights and the fulfillment of their constitutional duties, bases and coordination of general planning of economic activity, and legislation, regulation and concession of hydraulic resources and when the waters flow through more than one region.

For all the above, the Municipal People in the City of Bullas proposes the adoption of the following resolutions:
1. - The Full Council of Bullas, voice your support of the Central Union of Irrigation Tajo-Segura, Memorandum for the Tajo-Segura acquire the force of law
Two. - The Full Council of Bullas, voice your support Memorandum on Tajo-Segura.
Three. - Let this council in plenary support initiatives of the President of the Government of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Central Union of Irrigation, in defense of the Tajo-Segura.
April. - Authorize the Mayor-President of the Hon.
Bullas City Council as required by the implementation of this agreement.
