Pursuant to the programming provided by the Traffic Department for the year 2013, from 9 to 15 September inclusive, the City Council's Local Police Bullas has joined the Special Campaign on Seat Belt and Restraint Systems Children (SRI).
The use of approved restraint systems, seat belt and SRI, has been demonstrated as the road safety system simpler, cost-effective and efficient in all types of roads and paths.
Although in 2012, relative to the previous year, both sanctioned for failure to wear seat belt / SRI (200 euro fine) as points (3 points driving license) taken from by this cause, has been reduced by 13%, it is necessary to insist on the use of seat since this measure reduces by half the risk of death in an accident.
One of the objectives of the Road Safety Strategy 2011-2020 is "to ensure that no child loses his life because it was not properly seated in a chair suitable for their weight and height."
A child without adequate fastening fivefold the possibility of death or serious injury.
Given that the number of users of passenger deaths in urban areas is about twice that for the same reasons deceased road and the fact that drivers start the acquisition of habits and customs in the urban environment, is particularly interest involving local police in this campaign.
