Murcia has 200 volunteers in a statewide network of 7000

About 150 amateur participate next Sunday, October 6, at the XXVI edition of the annual meeting of the Network of Civil Defence Emergency Radio (REMER), held this year in Bullas, coinciding with its festivities.

They will focus at 10.30 am and will be received later, 11 hours, by the Mayor of Bullas, Pedro Chico, in the council itself.

Later, visit the Wine Museum and the Wine Cooperative Our Lady of the Rosary.

Finally, during the lunch fellowship diplomas will be handed commemorative volunteers who turn 4, 10,15, 20, 25 and 30 years participating in REMER.

Among the participants, and the mayor Bullas, will Moratalla Mayor, Antonio Garcia, the National Coordinator of the Civil Protection Directorate of the Ministry of Interior, Jorge de Castro, and the head of Civil Protection of the Government Delegation in Murcia Juan Lorente.

Emergency Radio Network is a complementary organization Network Command General Directorate of Civil Protection and Emergency of the Interior Ministry formed by Spanish amateurs who have voluntarily integrated into the structure to assist in emergency situations.

Its main task is to provide Civil Protection network communications secure transmissions between the various departments involved in claims and provide comprehensive and timely information on the circumstances and their evolution.

The REMER in Spain has about 7,000 employees (about 200 in the Region of Murcia) who put their technical means and knowledge to serve the State Administration for it without receiving any remuneration.

To belong to this network must have the radio operator title and license from the Directorate General of Telecommunications (Ministry of Development) which entitles them to the use of the airwaves and the installation of stations at home and / or vehicle .

REMER members have various transmission equipment that are regularly renewed to substitute them by more advanced.

The members of this network are located 24 hours a day, allowing immediate incorporation in case of an emergency (floods, forest fires, earthquakes, accidents of particular relevance, etc..), Which often have to be licensed to job.

In the region, the network is divided into seven zones and Immediate Deployment Group.
