A joint operation Bullas, Mula and Caravaca de la Cruz update their skills firefighting (07/08/2014)

On Sunday August 3 held in Bullas practices firefighting in which 14 Civil Defence volunteers integrated into the Emergency Services Northwest (SEN)-volunteer civil protection Bullas, Mula and Caravaca de la Cruz.

In two trials Fire Rapid Intervention Vehicle (RIV) of 500 liters of water each a pumper thousand liters of water and a vehicle logistics and coordination were used.

These practices also had the support of the data Meteorology Unit Civil Protection Bullas (UNIMET) who was also present during the day of testing firefighting.

Throughout the day treasury shares of firefighting such as different types of lying, collecting hoses, different strategies to tackle the fire, building defense lines and use of moisturizers, extraction and filling of water were made from swamps and pools and identification of escape routes and other maneuvers.

These practices were performed on the occasion of the summer campaign against forest fires and executed jointly by the three above (Bullas, Mula and Caravaca de la Cruz) municipalities.

The objective is to optimize the resources involved and to encourage maximum coordination between all these three municipalities and collaborate together in all activities and emergencies in which the presence of Civil Protection is required.

Thus periodic basis and practices may achieve greater efficiency and better adapted to its stress of fighting a fire.
