Project for upgrading the recreational area "The Cantos" in Bullas (18/12/2014)

A proposal and based on the draft prepared by the City of Bullas, the Directorate General Environment of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia is running for the use and enjoyment of the public, the first phase space conditioning composition of part of old rubbish dump of Los Cantos.

The works aim at making a space of about 40,000 m2 of woodland, arising as a result of the regeneration of the area dedicated to landfill debris above the resort, in a place for public leisure activity, leisure and sport of its neighbors.

The most important feature of this space is the transformation of a place gradient and residual, a usable area for a new social use with connotations of peculiar environmental, since its construction is intended that most of the materials used in this change come from the recycling of waste, since there is also located the Municipal Ecoparque.

Importantly, following this philosophy of reuse, recycling and use of renewable energy sources, will be utilized for watering plants and creating ponds and streams naturalized water, water from the daily renewal heated pool, plus a wind turbine and solar panels will be placed will be installed, so that bright beacon signaling thereof from renewable energies and roads with graded aggregates from recycling of debris will settle.

In short, the area will be a button environmental sample, too especially when you consider that shortly heated pool heat the water by biomass boilers.

The budget for this first phase amounts to € 46,300, which will be co-financed by the City of Bullas, which will provide € 10,000, the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia and the European Regional Development Fund.
